Maintenance and rearrangement of cathodic protection facilities city of Naples

In September 2016, NAPOLETANAGAS commissioned Sa.Gest to study 21 islands (section of pipeline electrically isolated from protected pipelines) distributed in the NAPLES metropolitan area.

In methane gas distribution networks there may be steel sections that for different reasons are not cathodically protected. Therefore, it is necessary, after identifying them cartographically, to perform all the work for theactivation of electrical protection. The purpose of the activity was to perform all preliminary investigations and represent their results (average pipeline insulation measurements), report all anomalies found at the affected section and then proceed to the design of a system of cathodic protection efficient and the implementation of the planned activities.
