Silviu’s story: a journey of recognition and rebirth
Silviu Neculai Dinu is 56 years old. He left his country, Romania, taking with him not only his professional skills but also the burden of a life in which his work he did not feel was truly recognized. He then decided to leave for Italy with the hope of finding not only employment, but a new chance to prove himself.

From a simple laborer, Silviu earned the trust of his superiors, becoming responsible for important construction sites. “In Italy I have a chance to see my efforts recognized,” says Silviu, with a light of pride in his eyes.

Bismark Mensah is 35 years old and from Ghana. Life is hard and opportunities are scarce there. With the courage of one whose dreams are bigger than the reality into which he was born, Bismark sets off for Italy in search of a better future for himself and his family. Having arrived in a new country with a different language and culture, he knows his path will not be easy.
He proposed to SAGEST and began working for the company. Bismark quickly realizes that this work is not just a source of livelihood, but a path to stability and security. “In Italy, compared to my country, there is more work and more protections for workers,” Bismark explains, reflecting on the difference between his current life and the one he left behind in Ghana. As a worker, he learns new skills, grows professionally, and integrates into an environment where cooperation and respect are the basis of everything.
The turning point for Bismark comes when, thanks to his efforts and the support of Sa.GEST, he is able to buy a house. For many Italians, buying a home may seem like a natural accomplishment; for Bismark, however, it represents the realization of a lifelong dream, a symbol of stability and security. “Thanks to the work, I was able to buy a small house and hope to bring my family here soon,” he says proudly.
